Given the consistent flooding and high water levels, the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CCMA) has moved to issue a temporary river closure for all water based activities for a four week period. This is in the interest of highlighting public safety concerns to all users and the general community.
The closure is being advertised through CCMA's website, local media and will also be published in the Victorian Government Gazette. CCMA is continuing to monitor river levels and water quality to assess when it can be reopened.
